Bound for Broadway by Pocahontas Community Chorus

March 10, 11, and 12 Pocahontas Community Chorus presented Bound for Broadway. This show was a collection of Broadway music from its beginnings to the 1990's. Members put forth month's of effort and the director, Joan Enockson, researched and wrote the production which proved educational for those unfamiliar with Broadway's past. There was a large amount of great music, funny performances, and local talent showcased in this performance. Too bad only a few family members and even fewer general public took the opportunity to enjoy it. The local drama group, Princess City Players is also a victim of the same apathy on the part of the general public. Could it be many of our locals would rather party with their booze buddies, watch a tv sport event, or spend large money to support stangers performing in a far off community. I can only thank our local performers in these groups for their continued effort and hope they never get discouraged by the size of the appreciative audiences that support them.
