Various Happenings

Many things happening since last update. The end of June we took a fun day and went to Des Moines taking along Deb's brother Charles and our niece Abby to visit the Titanic exhibit and Imax film at the Science Center of Iowa and the Hall of Pride. Last Friday and Sat was spent attending weddings. The first was here in Poky, a couple that we see often and are in community chorus with had their first daughter get married and the second was Marvin's (keyboard player in the band) son Jesse's wedding. Both had nice receptions following. At Jesse and Lisa's were we happy to see Lance and Nora Demers from Bondurant. Lance was a drummer with Phoenix for many years and both of them are really fun, nice people to know. The 12th had Davis arriving home for a visit with the time off he earned for being deployed. Wednesday the family went to see Superman Returns, Thursday the band played a free concert at the Roof Garden and Saturday Darwin goes to Waterbury NE to play. The band is also booked in Sioux City for River Cade which should see a very large crowd if the weather holds.
