Eaton-Nixon Reunion

Something that has not happened in over 30 something years. A gathering of the Eatons and Nixons occurred in Sioux Rapids the 19th. What a deal to see some familiar -old- faces, their offspring, and even their offspring, and to maybe restart the tradition again. Thanks to all who could make it and to all who organized it. I suspect it probably was in the Althaus family. It was really exciting to realize that my brother and sisters were the link in these families. Get togethers like this were a common, annual event years ago. They seemed to fade after losing Grandpa and Grandma Nixon. A few had to leave at different times but overall, there was opportunity to visit with everyone. It was also great to have Gloria brought in from Illinois by Diane and Dave. She is the last of mom's brothers and sisters. Any relative please leave some comments to indicate you have visited here. Here are some pics.

PS I have learned since initial post that this reunion was brought about by the Althaus family as part of Dave and Diane's anniversary and organized by Diane and Suzie.
Thanks girls for the great idea and putting it together!

  • Great job lil brother! I believe Suzie did a majority of the invites at least by mail but Diane was the one that wanted the reunion instead of an anniversary celebration so she deserves the credit and thanks, especially to go and get Gordy...

  • nice job, great pictures. Too bad there wasn't more Eatons. Roger Nixon will be here next as long as we plan it far enough in advance.
This is a really nice web site. I'm glad it's here for all to see. Thanks Darwin. Diane
