Another big event only in Iowa

An area radio station sponsored a tractor ride in our area which included a lunchtime stopover in Pocahontas. I am not a large fan of tractors, but I do appreciate old machinery and the efforts to keep it operational and in pristine appearance. These "rides" happen all around Iowa and they are an opportunity for these people to show off the machines which they have restored and in many cases been in the family for generations. A few even modify them. Some are just tweaked enough to make the ride better by adding more seating.

A few tractors with V8s caught my eye- especially the flathead Ford.

Some others were radical modifications to allow a modern V8 to provide power.
